Celebrating Mardi Gras

Together for Mardi Gras

Get festive this February with Mardi Gras-inspired menus! Typically held near the end of February, Mardi Gras is celebrated on the 21st this year. The flavors of Mardi Gras, festive togetherness, and novel cuisine inspired us to ask our Chefs to offer a Mardi Gras menu to enjoy together. While each menu will vary based on regional produce availability, you’ll notice many of the Cajun and Creole items we create have a common theme of onions, bell peppers and celery. These three ingredients are simple on their own, but when combined they create the signature flavors for many recipes such as crawfish etouffee, gumbo and jambalaya. By adding these three ingredients, we give each dish the opportunity to offer antioxidants, essential vitamins A, C, K, and insoluble fiber to support digestion. Typically, you can bank on some staple foods during Mardi Gras like Po’ Boy sandwiches, King Cake, Dirty Rice, Beignets, Creole Crab Cakes, Shrimp and Grits, and Fried Okra, to name a few.

#realfood and Mardi Gras

Decadent dining is part of Mardi Gras, and we’re pleased to tie in our #realfoods approach to each item we offer so you can enjoy a treat, without sacrificing your wellness. Oftentimes, part of balanced social dining means we practice the enjoyment of treats and amazing foods together as a type of entertainment. In moderation, this can offer an edifying bonding time, but our Chefs ensure we don’t have to worry about consuming items that have suspicious, over-processed ingredients. With a scratch-made approach, we can offer the best individual ingredients that combine for an authentic, scratch-cooked Mardi Gras dish. Remember friends, when it comes to fresh produce, sourcing regionally, and ensuring usage of high-quality ingredients for custom recipes, cooking from scratch allows us to keep our values of #realfood, even when the dish is a rich Beignet, Gumbo, or Fried Okra Bites.
