Justin Millikan, Chef for Thomas Cuisine at Benefis Health in Great Falls, MT, placed second in the final round of the World’s Favorite Chef competition. This competition benefits Feeding America, an important provider of food banks across the United States. Representing our healthcare foodservice teams, Chef Justin showcased dishes made from scratch such as mahi mahi vera cruz, tonkotsu ramen, pepperoni-ricotta pasties, and creative sushi rolls. Many of the dishes he featured in the competition are served at Benefis Health for busy healthcare workers, hospital patients, and visitors who need proper fuel for their bodies throughout the day.

Chef Justin Enter the World’s Favorite Chef Competition — February 28, 2021
As a healthcare chef at Benefis Health, Justin Millikan and his team focus on crafting REAL food for patients, healthcare workers, and guests of the hospital. Chef Justin embraces a variety of culinary best practices such as plant-forward cooking, organic offerings, and food as medicine.
Ultimately, the opportunity to test his skills and give back led Chef Justin to participate in the World’s Favorite Chef Competition. This competition highlights chefs around the world, and a portion of the competition proceeds go to Feeding America to fight hunger and food insecurity. One contestant will be named “World’s Favorite” and win $50,000; the contest organizer also says the winner will be featured in a two-page advertisement in Bon Appétit magazine.
When asked what he would do with the winnings, Chef Justin shares, “I will donate it towards enriching the lives of the seniors in my local community.
