Locally sourced food travels fewer miles, resulting in lower transportation emissions while offering you the freshest, most nutritious menu items for each meal. At Thomas Cuisine, we make it a priority to source our food locally whenever possible, ensuring that our meals are fresh, healthy, and environmentally sustainable.

Sustainable Practices

Sustainable food practices also include minimizing food waste and reducing the use of single-use plastic. Our cafes focus on offering real, scratch-made food served on china just like you would experience at home. By ensuring the usage of raw ingredients that our chefs peel, slice, and dice in-house, we reduce the volume of trash created by boxed, processed food commodities while ensuring recipes are scaled to serve the amounts of food needed at each unique venue we serve. This approach results in less food and package waste compared to relying on pre-packaged commodities within commercial kitchens. Furthermore, we’ve found that taking the extra step of planning our menus around the seasons reduces travel of fresh produce, while increasing the flavor of each dish we serve, resulting in a healthier planet, healthier meals, and a healthier you.
