At Thomas Cuisine, we understand that food is more than fuel—it’s a foundation for wellness, connection, and longevity. That’s why we were honored to host and cater the 2025 Well-Being ThinkTank, a gathering centered around one of the most important topics in senior living today: brain health.
This year’s ThinkTank brought together a select group of thought leaders, researchers, and senior living professionals to explore how we can better support brain health in the communities we serve. From innovative care models to sensory-friendly design and culinary strategies, the conversation centered on real, practical ways to help older adults thrive.
The event was organized in collaboration with Michele Holleran, senior living expert and long-time industry advisor, and brought together some of the most forward-thinking leaders in senior care, architecture, culinary medicine, and wellness.
Throughout the event, our team crafted meals made with scratch-cooked, brain-supportive ingredients—demonstrating how our REAL food philosophy plays a key role in promoting cognitive well-being. Because when it comes to senior living, what’s on the plate can empower focus, memory, and vitality.
Bridging Science, Design, and Food to Support Cognitive Wellness
Throughout the day, speakers explored how design, dining, and data-driven innovation can all play a role in enriching environments that support brain health. Topics included:
- Creating neuro-supportive environments that foster connection and purpose
- Designing menus rich in brain-healthy, nutrient-dense foods
- Demonstrating how culinary programs can elevate both quality of life and competitive differentiation in senior living
Attendees participated in round-table discussions and took home practical strategies they could implement in their own communities.
“Brain health is about more than reducing the risk of cognitive decline — it’s about enabling older adults to live with purpose, connection, and dignity. That requires collaboration between design, care, and culinary teams, and events like the ThinkTank are where those connections are built.”
