Thomas Cuisine and Central Montana Beef Partner to Bring Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Beef to Foodservice Management

Thomas Cuisine and Central Montana Beef Partner to Bring Grass-Fed Beef to Foodservice Management

Thomas Cuisine is proud to partner with Central Montana Beef to bring high-quality, grass-fed, grass-finished beef to the foodservice management industry. This nutrient-dense, sustainably-raised beef provides a healthier, more flavorful option for our clients and partners. Beyond offering exceptional quality, Central Montana Beef is committed to supporting American ranchers by providing 100% American-bred and farmed beef.

Central Montana Beef’s mission, perfectly aligned with Thomas Cuisine’s commitment to REAL food, is to revolutionize the food industry by offering an alternative to traditional feedlot meat, which is often sourced from foreign-owned operations. According to USDA data and National Beef Wire, U.S. beef imports climbed to 3.83 billion pounds in 2024, underscoring the importance of choosing local and sustainable options. Central Montana Beef is dedicated to land stewardship, sustainable ranching practices, and delivering nutrient-dense meat while supporting the livelihoods of American ranchers.

Backed by nine generations of sheep and cattle ranchers, Central Montana Beef prioritizes both the health of the land and the well-being of their cattle. Through rotational grazing, ranchers promote the growth of natural grasses, providing renewable, high-quality nutrition for the cattle. The cattle are raised humanely in outdoor environments with ample protein-rich native grasses, fresh water, clean air, and plenty of space. This sustainable approach not only supports the health of the cattle but also fosters a resilient ecosystem.

This partnership enables direct sourcing of healthier ingredients and secures a guaranteed annual supply of beef, ensuring Thomas Cuisine can consistently offer sustainable beef options to those we serve.

The rollout of this partnership will begin with the greater Boise, Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah, markets, with our premier shipment of Central Montana Beef arriving in February 2024. Strategic nationwide rollouts to additional Thomas Cuisine locations will follow.

Alison Patt, President and CEO of Thomas Cuisine, shares, “Our motto from our founder is ‘do the right thing.’ That includes sourcing quality proteins to serve to all our clients and customers. We serve over 25 million meals per year, and it’s our responsibility to provide the best, highest quality food possible. It all connects back to our commitment to REAL food.”
