COVID-19 Corona Virus, How Thomas Cuisine is Taking Action

Given the recent developments around the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, we want to share information around Thomas Cuisine business preparedness and response plans.

As part of our emergency and crisis preparedness plans, Thomas has a team of cross-functional experts addressing immediate and emerging concerns related to the Coronavirus. This team is closely monitoring the situation in each of our client’s facilities and communities. We are assessing risks and employing potential mitigation efforts, leveraging our supply chain partner contingency plans and managing communication needs.

As we activate our plans, we will continue to draw upon a variety of resources such as our partner’s infection control teams, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to make informed, fact-based decisions.

As a foodservice partner, we are committed to supporting our communities as the situation develops. At this time, we have experienced minimal disruption in our supply chain. As this a quickly evolving situation, we are in contact with suppliers and receiving ongoing updates to ensure we can continue to provide you with the best-in-class service you rely on.

Our top priorities are the health and safety of our employees and maintaining a high level of service to you, our valued customer. As the situation evolves, we will continue to modify our plans as needed to deliver on those priorities. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your Thomas contact. We are also happy to share a copy of our Critical Event/Pandemic Preparedness Plan upon request.
