These Chefs Like a Good Competition
The World Food Championships (WFC) is the largest competition in Food Sport, where grand champions of previous events convene for a chance at winning the ultimate food crown and a share of hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money. This year, the WFC added its largest online recipe contest, the Taste of America Challenge, to the mix as a 2019 qualifier. Cooks from coast to coast were tasked to create innovative, eye-popping recipes that utilize some of Food Sport’s most popular brands and products for a chance to win a coveted Golden Ticket.
We are so proud of Chef Tanner Thorp and Chef Thomas To who both earned a coveted Golden Ticket to compete in the World Food Championships by placing in The Taste of America Challenge representing the state of Washington. The World Food Championships will be held in Dallas, Texas, October 16 – 20, 2019.
