Hospital Chef Competes for World's Favorite Chef
The Final Competition Results Are In

Justin Millikan, Chef for Thomas Cuisine at Benefis Health in Great Falls, MT placed second in the final round of the World’s Favorite Chef competition, an online competition benefitting Feeding America; an important provider of foodbanks across the United States. Representing the healthcare foodservice industry, Justin showcased dishes made from scratch such as Mahi Mahi Vera Cruz, Tonkatsu Ramen, Pepperoni-Ricotta Pasties, and creative sushi rolls. We are proud of Justin’s accomplishment and healthcare foodservice representation – many of the dishes he featured in the competition are served at Benefis Health for busy healthcare workers, hospital patients, and visitors who need proper fuel for their bodies throughout the day.

The results are in, and as of March 11, 2021, Chef Justin has made it to the Top 5 in his group for World’s Favorite Chef. As a healthcare Chef at Benefis Health, Justin Millikan and his team focus on crafting REAL Food for patients, healthcare workers, and guests of the hospital. His unyielding tenacity for quality offerings supports what we believe is possible in the realm of hospital foodservice and we want the whole world to know it. Showcasing several beautiful and common dishes at Benefis Health, Justin has continued to mentor those around him while embracing a variety of culinary best practices such as plant-forward cooking, organic offerings, and food as medicine. The World’s Favorite Chef Competition highlights chefs around the world, ultimately donating a portion of the competition proceeds to Feeding America to fight hunger and food insecurity. One contestant will be named “World’s Favorite” and win $50,000; the contest organizer also says the winner will be featured in a two-page advertisement in Bon Appétit magazine. Chef Millikan describes what he will do with that $50K for the betterment of the community around him in the video below.
