History

Thomas Cuisine was founded by Thad and Lynn Thomas in their garage in 1986. The company was founded on providing a “better” healthcare food service experience for patients and guests. The company expanded into corporate dining during the 1990’s as our reputation spread for providing outstanding customer service and quality, made-from-scratch food.

Thomas Cuisine has continued to grow organically to become one of Idaho’s top privately held businesses as well as a market share leader in the Western United States. The company’s growth and success has come from strong client retention. We take each and every client’s success as serious as our own, striving to create a lifetime partnership. Thomas Cuisine has never focused on being the biggest provider, but on being the best food service provider in the industry. From our very humble beginnings, our emphasis has always been about delivering on promises and exceeding expectations.

Best of Utah 2010: Best Hospital Food – Davis Bistro
By: City Weekly Staff

A bistro in a hospital? Are you kidding me? Nope. At the Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton, they take hospital food seriously. The Manhat¬tan Deli serves sandwiches like the “Lady Liberty” wrap: oven-roasted turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cranberry-pecan aioli and cheddar cheese in a whole-wheat wrap. The Grillery offers chicken strips and Mongolian-style stir-fried shrimp with Asian vegetables and soba noodles in a spicy Asian sauce. And, the Spotlite features low-calorie, low-fat selections such as cilantro-lime chicken skewers with pineapple salsa. Next time you’re in an ambulance, ask your driver for the Davis Hospital.
